- Description
- Solnet is a EU project within the Marie Curie programme. It is the equivalent of a 4 year European PhD school in solar heating and cooling. The aim is to coordinate the education of 10 PhD students at 9 universities with common PhD courses and coordinated PhD research projects. The Solar Energy Research Center SERC, at Högskolan Dalarna, will participate in the project. They will organise the first course, on simulation tools, that will build the foundation for common calculation methods. SERC’s PhD project will focus on pellet and solar heating systems for single family houses. The aim is to study how pellet heating can best be integrated into solar heating systems in terms of primary energy use, minimum emissions and competitive costs.
