Leaving Ceremony January 2021

At Dalarna University, the Leaving Ceremony is a way to give you, our graduating students, a well-deserved send-off to mark the end of your studies.

This year, because of the coronavirus pandemic and the government directive on large gatherings, we are unfortunately unable to come together to hold our traditional leaving ceremony. However, despite not being able to meet at a physical location, we would like to invite you to celebrate online with us so that we can congratulate you and wish you well for the future.

The online ceremony will take place on January 15, 2021 11 am.

Who can attend?

The Leaving Ceremony is for programme students who have completed or who will be completing their studies at Dalarna University in the autumn semester 2020. The reason it is called a Leaving Ceremony and not a Graduation Ceremony is because not all students will not have completed their studies by the end of the semester. Leaving ceremonies are for students completing their programmes.

We know that a number of courses that should have been taught this semester have been moved to next semester, and that this affects many students. However, to ensure that everyone can take part in this Leaving Ceremony, everyone who is registered in the last semester of their programme is invited to attend online. It is important that everyone gets the send-off they deserve and can celebrate with their fellow students regardless of any changes the present situation presents.
