Abstract: The aim of the research seminar is to present the past and present research experience to find the parallels in the research interest for the future cooperation. Starting from the past – identifying the potential of the space (destination); going on learning how to manage the space (destination) including the communities in the space (destination); towards nowadays megatrends: the space mobility – What is behind it (traveller´s decision-making process)? What are the implications for the space (destination development, sustainability)? Can we transform traveller´s behaviour to be sustainable?
Bio: Andrea Holešinská, PhD - assistant professor at the Department of Regional Economics and Administration Faculty of Economics and Administration Masaryk University (Brno, CZ). More than 15-year academic and research experience in destination management (Czech Republic and Central European “post-communist” countries). Teaching experience in Destination Management, Tourism Policy, Sustainable Tourism and Impacts of Transformation. Research interest in destination management processes and stakeholders´ cooperation (networking), nowadays mobility – decision-making processes of travellers.
