He has done research on Lutherans among Maasai speaking peoples of Tanzania (2006), and been involved in the history and legacy of Christian mission and European colonialism in Africa, in particular in Namibia.

He will lecture on “Monopoly mission and transcultural encounters in northern Namibia”.
