Kim Groop is a teacher and researcher at the Department of Church History at Åbo Akademi University in Finland. He has done research on Lutheran work among Maasai speaking peoples of Tanzania (2006), and been involved with the history and legacy of Christian mission and European colonialism in Africa, in particular in Namibia.

He will present lectures open to the public on "Simon Kimbangu, the Kimbanguist church and Nkamba in DRC as a memory site" on Wednesday, September 26 at 13.15-15 in Room Fö3. A second lecture will be given on Thursday, September 27 at 10.15-12 in Room A336: "Monopoly mission and transcultural encounters in northern Namibia". Both lectures are in room 315 at Dalarna University in Falun".
