External Experts

In the role of external expert, you will prepare an employment matter for Dalarna University's Appointments Board (Anställningsförslagsutskott) and provide an assessment as part of the material on which an employment decision is based.

You will review the applicant's documentation and evaluate their scholarly/scientific/artistic and pedagogical merits, as well as their other qualifications in relation to the employment description for the position in question. 

If the applicant is clearly unqualified for the position, you will not receive payment for reviewing their application.

To help you with your assessment, you will have:

• The Dalarna University document entitled "Recruitment Procedures for Teachers at Dalarna University" (Anställningsordning för lärare vid Högskolan Dalarna)
• Rules for admission as an Associate Professor (Docent) that are in place at Dalarna University
• Instructions for experts for the position in question
• Template for the pedagogical portfolio (pedagogisk meritportfölj)
• Application documentation for everyone that has applied for the position
• The job description (anställningsprofilen), which can be found in ReachMee (see below)

Application Procedures

Dalarna University publishes its job announcements and receives all applications using the recruitment system called ReachMee. Applicants are able to complement their application with non-electronic documentation. Any such documentation will be sent to you, the external expert.
