The course aims to develop the students’ ability in modern translation theory, and their understanding of the different aims and processes of translation in relation to both general and literary texts. Another aim is to increase the students’ awareness of different linguistic and stylistic registers in English and Swedish. The course also aims to link linguistic and literary studies by critically analysing central linguistic and literary terms and processes in translation.

All seminars take place online (no physical meetings) via the software Adobe Connect. To participate in the seminars, you must have a broadband internet connection, a microphone, headphones and a web camera. The course consists of obligatory seminars at specific times.
