The course aims to further develop and deepen students’ knowledge of and abilities within linguistics in English. The students will acquire an in-depth knowledge and awareness of linguistic theories and their practical applications. Moreover students will develop their analytical abilities as well as an ability to critically evaluate many theories through formulating, analysing and discussing a limited topic in a degree thesis.

Different courses are offered each term apart from the Undergraduate Degree Thesis EN2015. During the Autumn term, they are EN2002 English in the World and EN2009 Theory and practice of general and literary translation.

All seminars take place online (no physical meetings) via the software Adobe Connect. To participate in the seminars, you must have a broadband internet connection, a microphone, headphones and a web camera. The course consists of obligatory seminars at specific times.
