Learning outcomes for the course
This course aims to help students both reinforce what they have acquired in lower level Chinese courses, and continue to expand their Chinese proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- communicate comfortably and confidently in authentic situations
- express their thoughts on daily subjects and use some simple specialist terminology from different academic areas
- understand fairly complex Chinese sentences and paragraphs
- write short compositions using Chinese characters
- read and study partly simplified authentic Chinese texts.
