Learning outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- write and pronounce the Arabic alphabet as well as understand how the diacritic marks (al-harakaat) affect the pronunciation of certain vowels and consonants
- use a basic vocabulary
- answer and ask simple questions
- communicate in Arabic about simple familiar subjects
- introduce themselves, their family and interests
- use greetings
- read short texts and write simple texts about familiar topics
- use simple grammatical constructions
