Writing is a process and as such we encourage you to send your text to us even if it is incomplete. Through earlier identification of and discussions about language problems, we are better able to help you improve your writing and ultimately the completed text. We point out the areas that need to be rewritten and give you advice about how to rewrite your text.

Online Language Support Resource for Students

An online resource has been developed by Language Support to help you write academic papers and assignments. This online resource contains self-study films as well as a collection of resources to help you develop your writing skills. Please email languagesupport@du.se from your official @du.se email address and ask for access to the "Writing" website.

Tandem - Find an Online Conversation Partner

Learning a language is like riding a bike: the more you practise, the better you become. And just as it's more fun to ride a bike with somebody else, it's more fun to practise your language skills with somebody else too. That is why Dalarna University, with its large language department, has developed Tandem.

Try Tandem

Tandem.du.se, which receives funding from Dalarna University's School of Languages and Media Studies, is a no-cost online meeting place for all language-learning enthusiasts. It's a website where new members register, list their language of interest, and go on to find an online language buddy amongst the some 500 members already registered.

Academic Writing and Referencing

Our library has a webpage that explains academic writing and referencing. You are also welcome to book an appointment with a librarian to receive information on how to search for academic articles and other materials pertinent to your studies.
