Credit Transfer
As a Dalarna University student, you have the right to have previous education considered for credit transfer. This applies to both Swedish and foreign education.
The right to a transfer of credits is regulated by the System of Qualifications, chapter 6 §§ 6-8 and Dalarna University's Procedures for Accreditation of Previous Studies (DUC 2006/641/100).
If a student at a higher education institution in Sweden has successfully completed a certain higher education programme, that student is entitled to credit when studying at another higher education institution. This does not, however, apply if there is a substantial difference between the educational programmes.
Students also have the right to request that previous studies as well as skills, knowledge, and achievements be validated for credit. For example, work experience in certain fields can be validated and transferred into credits.
