Travel to Falun/Borlänge
Arlanda Airport
Stockholm's main international airport is ‘Arlanda Airport’, which is situated about 35 km north of the city of Stockholm. The railway station is situated in the airport (go to the area in the airport called Sky City – between terminals 4 and 5; take the lift down).
Take a train with direction "Falun/Mora". The train ticket costs 200 to 300 SEK. You can buy a ticket at the airport or in the train itself. Avoid the more expensive X2000 trains.
There are several departures to Borlänge/Falun each day. The trip takes around 2 hours to Borlänge/2 hours 20 minutes to Falun.
Bus connections between Borlänge and Falun are very good. Buses run three times every hour (the number 253/254). You can buy your ticket on the bus.
From Nyköping/Skavsta
Airport buses run from Skavsta Airport to Stockholm City (Cityterminalen - the main railway and bus station in the centre of Stockholm): click here for bus timetables.
There are no good connections from Skavsta to Borlänge. If necessary, book a youth hostel in Stockholm and spend the night there.
Dala Airport
If you fly directly to Borlänge, you probably have to transfer in Stockholm (Arlanda). The flight between Arlanda and Borlänge takes about 40 minutes. Dala Airport is situated about 10 km SE from Borlänge. Buses run every hour between the airport and the Borlänge centre.

Borlänge's train station and bus station are located in the same building in the centre of Borlänge (15 minutes' walking distance from campus).
