500 MB. You can see your disk space quota if you login to http://www.du.se/mypages, click on "My account" in the menu and then "Disk Usage & Quota". Copyright protected material may only be copied or distributed with permission by the author.
Why does it take such a long time to login?
Cookies can extend the login time. Personal settings, such as large background pictures on your desktop can also extend the login time. Visit your local Helpdesk, that can help you to delete your cookies or delete your profile if needed.
How can I access my documents when I'm not on Högskolan Dalarna's network?
You need a SCP/SFTP application. For Windows we recommend WinSCP. Download the application, install it and then run it. Log in to the host maggie.du.se with your regular du.se username and password. To access your "www" folder: Press ctrl-o and type in /www/student/username (replace "username" with your du.se username).
I've unfortunately lost an important document. Is there any chance to get it back?
Backups are taken every night. Send an e-mail to support@du.se (using your university address) and tell us the name of the missing document, where it was located, etc. Changes made after the backup was taken are not possible to recover.
What is CAS?
CAS is an acronym and stands for Central Authentication Service. It provides a so called Single Sign-On mechanism, i.e. one login - multiple services. At Högskolan Dalarna, CAS is used for various services, e.g Fronter, My Pages on www.du.se, login to universityadmissions.se etc. The IT-department are working continuously to integrate more services into CAS.
How does CAS work?
When you want to log in to a CAS protected web service, you will be redirected to the login page (login.du.se). After you have entered your username and password for verification, you will be logged in and sent back to the web service. When you want to visit another protected service, you will once again be redirected to login.du.se. This time, the system will remember you and send you back - automatically logged in. The login page will remember you for ten hours or until you close your web browser (all windows).
How do I log out?
Close your web browser (all windows).
Why is there no logout button?
It's possible to log out from an individual service - however it's quite misleading. If you visit that service again, login.du.se will remember you and log you in automatically. To completely log out from all services, including login.du.se, close all your browser windows.
There is a logout button, but it does not work?
In systems that we cannot easily redesign, e.g Fronter (which is located in Norway), there might still be logout buttons. These will log you out from the individual service but you will still be logged in to CAS (login.du.se). If you visit the service again, you will be automatically logged in. To completely log out from all services, including login.du.se, close all your browser windows.
