Fronter
How do I sign into Fronter? How can I find my course room?
Open a web browser, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, and then go to https://fronter.du.se. See this manual for more information.
I've created my user account but cannot log into Fronter.
It may take up to 24 hours before you can log in with a newly created user account.
We have noticed some problems with Safari. Therefore, we recommend Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. You can download Mozilla Firefox from http://www.getfirefox.com.
There should be some folders in Course Material, but I cannot see any. I am registered in the course and can see the course room.
The material may be saved in a folder in which the teacher gave special access to students. The teacher may have forgotten to add all students. Contact the teacher.
I sometimes receive a message about Windows File Extension when I want to open some files in Fronter. Why?
The teacher may have removed the file extension (e.g.: doc or. pdf), and the computer cannot open the file. If you know the file type, then you can open it in the correct programme (for example . doc opens in Word). You can download the file to your computer and open it there.
When I log into Fronter, I can only access the student cafeteria, library and support space but not my course room.
First check that you are accepted and registered in the course (do this on "My pages" or contact the course administrator). After being accepted in the course, you must wait 24 hours to gain access. Teachers can also add you to the course room.
How do I submit data in the Hand-In Folder and then read my teacher's comments?
See this manual about the Hand-In Folder.
Can I log on to Fronter even if I am not a Dalarna University student?
Yes, you can log in as a guest. Go to https://fronter.du.se.
Is there a manual for Fronter?
You can find a manual at www.du.se/manuals.
