Where can I find Meeting and student rooms?
Open a Web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) and then go to http://meeting.du.se/ or go to http://www.du.se and then click on "Meeting". There you can enter various rooms, please see this manual if something is unclear.
What equipment do I need to use Adobe Connect?
- A computer. For detalied minimi requirements, see Adobe own pages at this link.
- Access to the Internet, at home, through learning centers, libraries or similar where you have a broadband speeds of at least 0.5 Mbit/s in both directions, a recommendation is to have at least 2.0 Mbit/s. You can control the speed of your broadband at www.bredbandskollen.se. We recommend that you do not use mobile broadband as there may be problems with too varied and low speeds.
- Headset with a microphone. We do not recommend Bluetooh headsets. USB headset can be used.
- Maybe a webcam (ask the teacher if you are unsure).

Which rooms can I use?
"HDa Café" is a test room where you always can test your settings get the help of an ICT teacher. Do you have seminars and lectures, your teacher will inform you which room you are going to meet in.
Can I book a room as a student?
The meeting rooms are bookable for staff at Dalarna University only. To book a Meeting room, please contact Roger at phone: 023-77 84 22 or lokbok@du.se.
Student rooms are for the students to be able to have their own meetings and are not bookable, but there the "first come".
What file formats can I upload into Connect?
You can use these file formats:
PowerPoint, .ppt , pptx
PDF-files, .pdf
Images, .jpg
Sound, .mp3
Flash, .flv , .swf
Is your file in another file format, you can convert it to PDF-format using for example CutePDF Writer (read more about CutePDF writer on Google) or to flash (swf) using Flashpaper. This manual is about Flashpaper.
I'm having trouble to connect to a chat room, when I click on the room, my computer is only loading, it happens no more, what is wrong?

I have a problem with the webcam, what can I do?
First, make sure that the drivers for the webcam is installed (they came with a CD when you bought it, otherwise you can probably find the latest drivers on the manufacturer's website).
The webcam must be plugged into your computer before you launch Adobe Connect. When you are in a room in Adobe Connect, you can go to menu to the top left and choose “Meeting> Manage My Settings-> Select Camera...” and there check that the right camera is selected.
It is also important that you have no other programs running at the same time that can use the webcam (for example the program that came with your webcam) then the computer only can deal with the web cam is used in one program at the same time.
