For several years, Dalarna University has been implementing e-learning, with lectures and seminars offered in realtime online and with an increased number of web-based courses and programmes.
There is, therefore, a considerable amount of empirical knowledge shared by several experienced teachers and administrators, who all know what it means to teach web-based students. By way of the NGL programme, we place emphasis on research in the fields of Next Generation Learning and Technology-Mediated Knowledge Processes both at the university and in professional life. We examine the changes in knowledge processes in and between individuals and organisations at a time of accelerated implementation of information and communication technologies.
The research section of the NGL programme consists of a number of activities within the graduate school of Technology-Mediated Knowledge Processes, which is a cooperative venture between Dalarna University and Örebro University.
