Swedish

Within the subject Swedish at Högskolan Dalarna you may study the structure of swedish, the language in social and historical context, children’s language development, text analysis, stylistics and rhetoric. You may also study argumentation and how a tory is written. Courses in swedish is offered up to bachelor’s level. Within the subject there are also vocationally specialised courses for future teachers who are going to work with younger children’s development of written language.

Focus is mainly on present day swedish, but language history is also entered into the different courses in various forms.
