Physics
The subject Physics (Greek: fysis nature) originally involved all Natural Science. Through the course of time the other Natural Science subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Geology et c have been separated from physics. Many Engineering subjects, for instance Electronics, once originated from Physics. But Physics also make the foundation for these subjects as well as applied engineering subjects. Physics tries to describe the fundamental laws which govern nature, and tries to apply a holistic view to the natural phenomena.
Physics deals with everything from nature’s tiniest particles to issues regarding the universe. Astronomy and Meteorology are part of the subject Physics at Högskolan Dalarna.
