Geography

Geography has the ambition to represent a holistic view to human beings’ physical environment. The subject is integrative in the meaning that the geographical analysis includes social scientific as well as natural scientific aspects.

The Social Scientific orientation looks into how distance, environment and natural resources affect trade and industry, development and social patterns, called cultural geography.

The Natural geographic orientation provides knowledge about ground, air and water and about the processes that have shaped the natural landscape, including human beings’ part in this.
