Courses at Campus Framtidsdalen (Borlänge)

Most of the English Department's campus-based courses take place at Campus Lugnet (Falun), but there are a number of courses offered in Borlänge designed around the needs of the programmes based at Campus Framtidsdalen. Click here for a complete list.

English for Academic Purposes

These courses prepare students for further university-level study in courses and programmes for which English is the medium of instruction.

  • EN1056 English for Academic Purposes: Written Proficiency. 7.5 HEC 
  • EN1058 English for Academic Purposes: Oral Proficiency. 7.5 HEC 

G-1 Entry Level (Formerly known as "A-level")

  • EN1085 (formerly EN1066) Literature and Culture in English. 15 HEC
  • EN1086 (formerly EN1033) English Language Structure. 7.5 HEC
  • EN1087 (formerly EN1034) English Language Usage. 7.5 HEC OR EN1088 (formerly EN1035) English Language Learning and Teaching. 7.5 HEC

G-1 Non-Entry Level (Formerly known as "B-level")

  • EN1019 English Sociolinguistics. 7.5 HEC
  • EN1071 (formerly EN1053) The History of British and American Literature and Ideas. 15 HEC
  • EN1044 Introduction to Modern English Linguistics. 7.5 HEC 

G-2 Level (Formerly known as "C-level")

If you choose a linguistic topic for your degree thesis we recommend:

  • EN2002 English in the World. 7.5 HEC
  • EN2003 Words and their Structure. 7.5 HEC
  • EN2015 Degree Thesis. 15 HEC

If you choose a literary topic for your degree thesis we recommend:

  • EN2007 Literature and Theory. 7.5 HEC
  • EN2005 Irish Literature and Postcolonialism. 7.5 HEC
  • EN2012 Degree Thesis. 15 HEC 

Master's level (Formerly known as "D-level")
