The department has hosted four international conferences, a national forum on English Studies in Swedish Higher Education as well as the first student essay conference in Sweden, in collaboration with Högskolan Gävle.

Our latest international conference, Myth and Reality: Language, Literature, and Culture in Modern Ireland took place 29-30 October 2009 in Falun and was hosted jointly by DUCIS and the English department.
