Energy and Environmental Technology
The subject Energy and Environmental Engineering aims to create knowledge and understanding of the terms of the technology that can serve socially and ecologically sustainable development.
The subject is cross-disciplinary with its starting points in natural science as well as in engineering, and social and behavioural sciences.
Research in the subject is mainly oriented towards energy engineering, especially solar heating and biofuel. Waste management is another field of research.
Within the subject there is a one-year master's in Solar Energy Technology. Cooperation has been initiated with KTH, School of Industrial Technology and Management, so that students can obtain a two-year master's degree from KTH. The subject also has energy courses within other programmes and commissioned education.
