Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering deals with basic physical conceptions for electrical circuits, technical applications in analogue and digital electronics, control engineering, process control, instrumentation engineering, electric power et c. There is a dynamic development in electrical engineering, among other things to meet the need for electronics (hardware) and algorithms (control engineering, digital signal processing).
At Högskolan Dalarna there are orientations directed towards process control, and industrial electrical engineering. Electrical Engineering courses at Högskolan Dalarna are to a great extent based on lectures, exercises, experiments and project work. Computers are generally utilized in experiments and project work. Courses in electrical engineering are offered in several engineering programmes and as single subject courses. Supply of courses varies from year to year.

There is an international master programme with orientation control of dynamic systems in Electrical Engineering. Courses included are among other things: Modelling and identification of dynamic systems, Model based control systems and Process control.
