How to apply
Admission to this programme is given with a dispensation from the general requirements for eligibility to higher education in Sweden. The programme is equivalent to 60 Higher Education Credits/ECTS and will run on a full-time basis at Campus Lugnet in Falun, Sweden, during two sessions. The first session will start on August 25, 2008 and end on January 18, 2009. The second semester runs from January 19, 2009 until June 7, 2009.
All international students new to Högskolan Dalarna are expected to register on August 20, 2008 and to participate in the Introduction Days, August 20-22, 2008. We offer pick-up service free of charge between August 16-19 and we advice you to use it. Students arriving August 25-September 15, 2008 will be allowed to late registrations on the Programme. If you, for whatever reason, are unable to register on August 20, you must contact the programme coordinator: Peter Bretschneider pbt@du.se for further instructions. If you are unable to arrive before September 15, you may apply again via www.universityadmissions.se for single subject courses that are part of the Programme and then re-apply for the Programme while in Sweden – you may contact the Study Councellors Office studievagledning@du.se for more information.
You are strongly advised to apply for the Swedish residence permit as soon as possible, since the visa processing time may be quite long. For more information see www.migrationsverket.se. For your nearest Swedish Embassy see www.swedenabroad.se. All international students registered at Högskolan Dalarna are covered by the insurance “StudentIn”, as long as they do not have a complete Swedish civic registration number.
