Generally we require a completed high school education certificate, sent to us before the deadline.
- If you come from outside the EU/EES countries and therefore require a student visa you must present a completed high school education certificate at the time of the last application date. Anything presented after that date cannot be considered because of the lengthy application process involved with the Migration Board to obtain a student visa.
- If you are a citizen of a EU/EES country and therefore not in need of a student visa to Sweden, your transcripts must show that you only have one semester left to complete your upper secondary education and that a certificate can be submitted before the BA programme begins in August.
No. We cannot accept applications that are scanned, linked to or sent to us by e-mail or fax.
Documents supporting the application must be stamped and signed by the issuing institution, or a notary public, in the original language, and in officially certified translations into Swedish (or other Nordic languages), English, French or German, if the documents are issued in any other language.
All enclosures, such as certificates and other documentation, must be attached to the application form and sent by post.
We will consider late applications only if all the places on the programme have not been filled. This is very unlikely since we have a great many qualified applicants who do apply on time. We recommend that you send everything you have, well in advance. Contact your local postal authorities for advice. This programme has an intake in both January and August each year.
We require that the test centre send us official test scores directly. We prefer that the applicant also includes a copy of his/her results together with the rest of the application. If the test scores cannot be sent directly, authenticity of the results will be considered with measures of caution.
We cannot guarantee that scores received after the application date will be considered during the application process.
If you are not a native English speaker, we highly recommend submitting official tests of English to prove your proficiency of English before the application deadline. If you choose not to submit any test results, we have less information to compare your capabilities with other applicants.
Applicants from Pakistan and Bangladesh must provide an internationally recognized test even if their education was in English.
Degrees from any Nordic higher education fulfill the English requirement.

It is very difficult to obtain any job, part-time or full-time, without previous contacts or without Swedish language skills. Even though most Swedes speak English, it is not the language that is expected. Not everything is translated into English. Swedish is used on a daily basis as it is the official language of the country.
Most of our communication is by e-mail. It is absolutely necessary that we receive a legible e-mail address on your application form and that in every e-mail correspondence to us you mention your application number. As all of our communication is on an individual e-mail basis, it takes a long time to write and to reach all of the applicants. We cannot respond immediately to an e-mail request because we are busy writing e-mail notifications to others! Be patient!
No. Because of the numerous amounts of applications and limited staff, we cannot send anything in return after an application has been submitted. Please make sure that we have only received copies and not originals. Official transcripts from other universities cannot be returned either.
In most cases, you will not be notified why you were not selected because of the numerous amounts of applications. Generally, we can say that it is because we have had very many applicants from all parts of the world and that there are only very limited places available on the programmes.
If I was not selected from a previous year, can I apply again? *
You can always re-apply. It is impossible to say if you have a better chance for the next application period. As the number of applicants rises year by year, the chances for being selected next time may however decrease.
* Your application will not remain saved for the coming application periods. A whole new application must therefore be filled out with ALL necessary documentation.
