Application and Tuition Fees
Beginning autumn 2011, all non-EU/EEA citizens, with a few exceptions, are liable to pay application and tuition fees.

Students Requiring a Residence Permit must pay their tuition fees before they can receive a residence permit in Sweden.Deadline for payment for Autumn Semester 2012: June 6 2012.
Fee-Paying Students Who Do Not Require a Residence Permit, deadline for payment for Autumn Semester 2012: August 20 2012.
Admission to Dalarna University is conditional upon tuition fees being paid by the deadline.
Tuition fees include instruction, lectures, examination(s), course and examination certificates.
Tuition fees do not include course literature, accommodation, living costs.

Payment
International students will receive an invoice from each university that they have applied and been admitted to. This is done after the second round of admissions.
For you to be accepted into Dalarna University, the following applies:
- Payment must be made by the date that the university sets.
- Payment must be made for you to receive a residence permit.

- You must pay for all courses in which you are registered.
Please note:
- If your programme is more than 30 ECTS, you will be able to pay your tuition fee in installments on different payment dates.
- If you do not pay by the deadlines, you will be excluded from studies.
- If you do not complete a course, you may to do so at a later date without having to pay additional fees.
- Credit transferrals that Dalarna University sanctions do not mean a reduced tuition fee.
- If you are part of an exchange programme organised by Dalarna University, then you are liable to pay full tuition fees to Dalarna University for your studies abroad.
- The tuition fees imposed on programme students cover studies amounting to 60 HEC per academic year: programme students who are registered in courses that amount to more than 60 HEC per academic year will be liable to pay for the extra credits.
Repayment
The tuition fee will be repaid if
- your liability for tuition fees changes.
- you have proof of special circumstances (e.g. doctor´s certificate of illness).
- your visa is denied (or other circumstances beyond your control).
Please note that repayment will be made to the bank account from which the money was received.
No repayment of fees will be made as a result of
- academic suspension or expulsion as a disciplinary measure.
- withdrawals or leaves of absence from a programme/course.
Dalarna University and the Swedish Migration Board
Dalarna University is obligated to providing the following information to the Swedish Migration Board (Migrationsverket) about international students:
- Information about which students are liable to pay tuition fees and which students have been admitted to programmes
- Information about students who have been admitted but who have not registered in a programme
- Information about students who appear to have dropped out of studies
Our administrators will send this information after the final date for registration.
Transitional Provisions
Students who are in the category of fee-paying student may complete their course of study/programme without paying tuition fees if their course of study/programme began prior to July 1, 2011.
If a student does not complete his/her studies before December 31, 2018, fees will then need to be paid.
Scholarships

If you are awarded a scholarship, the tuition fee will be reduced by the equivalent sum of your scholarship.
