Dalarna University Tuition Fee Waivers
Eligible Countries
Dalarna University tuition fee waivers are available to citizens of all non-EU/EEA countries who are required to pay tuition fees for education at Dalarna University (DU). However, applicants from the following countries who are eligible for the Swedish Institute scholarships are not eligible to apply for the DU tuition fee waivers:
Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia.

Important Dates
Before you apply for the tuition fee waiver, you must submit an application to the master’s degree programme via the online application service for master’s programmes in Sweden, international intake, at www.universityadmissions.se. The application deadline is mid-January; for exact dates, please see the university admissions website.
The application deadline for the tuition fee waiver is March 30, 2012.
Benefits and Timeframe
The tuition fee waiver should cover the whole, or part, of the tuition fee of the programme to which you have been admitted. It does not cover personal expenses. The tuition fee waiver is valid only for programmes starting in the autumn semesters and is usually granted for one academic year (two semesters). An extension is possible for programmes that are longer than two semesters provided that study results are satisfactory.

- Two-year master’s programmes
- One-year master’s programmes
Who Is Eligible?
Eligible applicants are guest students who are required to pay tuition fees for full-time temporary studies in Sweden starting in the autumn semester. Only applicants who have been selected in the first selection round at www.universityadmissions.se may be considered. There is no age limit; however, you are not eligible for the waiver if any of the following applies:
- You have already lived in Sweden for two years or more when the study period is due to begin.
- You have previously been awarded a Swedish Institute scholarship either for studies at the master’s level or for research at a Swedish university.
- You are already studying in the programme in question.
Insurance
All registered students are insured by the Swedish State Group Insurance against illness and accident during the scholarship period.

DU tuition fees will be waived, in whole or in part, for successful applicants. Payments are not made to the applicant. The tuition fee waiver period can neither be altered nor be extended.
A list of applicants who have been granted a tuition fee waiver will be announced in April on the Dalarna University website.
