The retail research at Högskolan Dalarna got a lot of attention in the local news 15th and 16th of November. Professor Magnus Bohlin and Dr. Johan Håkansson has led a research project, where the opportunities to establish cross-border shopping has been analyzed. The conclusion, that there is a basis for building a shopping mall similar to those in Nordby, Töcksfors and Charlottenberg were discussed at a seminar where the project was presented.
The research project has also produced a master’s thesis by Malin Ahlsén Gahns and Johan Olsson with the title: Current and future shopping in Sälen, Degree Project No. 3/11, Högskolan Dalarna.
