New Borrowing Rules
New borrowing rules from December 19, 2011.
The target groups for the university library are students, researchers and other staff at Dalarna University. To be able to borrow materials, you need to have a library card and live in Sweden. The library card is personal and should be kept safe. You are personally responsible for all borrowed material and you may not lend the material to other people. You need to have your card with you when you wish to borrow from the library. To apply for a library card, see information below.
If you are a student at Dalarna University in Falun or Borlänge, please fill in the “Library card application”. After you have received your “Key card” from the Help Desk, you have to come to the library to register this card which then will be your library card.
If you are a distance student at Dalarna University and live in Sweden, please fill in the “Library card application”. You have to be enrolled as a student in a course or programme at Dalarna University to be accepted as a borrower at the library. We will send the library card to your home address. It may take a few weeks from the time you get your acceptance letter until you become a registered student. For that reason your card may be delayed. To obtain a library card before the course/programme has started, we need to have a copy of your acceptance letter and a copy of your authenticated ID.
If you are a staff member at Dalarna University, please come and visit the library and register your key card which then will be your library card.
The library is open to all who need to use our collection. You need a library card, which you can get when you visit the library, and you must show valid photo identification.
