Search for articles and books (databases)
The library at Högskolan Dalarna subscribes to some databases where you can search for articles and books. To find a specific database, or to search in more than one database simulataneously, use the search tool Samsök.
Samsök
If you wish to find a relevant database go to "MetaSearch" and choose one of the "Categories" or "Quick sets". Click the title of the database and make your search. If you want to search more than one database simultaneously, mark the databases and use the Samsök search interface.
Högskolan Dalarna subscribes to more than 7000 electronic journals.
There are also other resources which could be of interest, but do not forget to start with the catalogue of the library at Högskolan Dalarna.
- Libris
LIBRIS is the national union catalogue and the basis for the interlibrary loan service. LIBRIS offers the public free access to over 5 million titles held at Swedish libraries.
Interlibrary loan
Books not available at Högskolan Dalarna Library can be borrowed from other libraries. Copies of articles from journals that Högskolan Dalarna Library do not hold can be ordered.
- Always check the library catalogue, Samsök (for fulltext articles) and the list of printed journals before submitting a request.
- Loan and copies from libraries outside the Nordic countries is a service available for staff and students on C- and D-level only.
- In average it takes 7-10 days to get a book or a copy.
