What does interlibrary loan mean?
If the library at Dalarna University does not have the literature you might need for the purposes of your study or research, it is possible to borrow from another library. The literature should be connected to your studies, teaching or research.
Who can request an interlibrary loan?
Please notice that your library card application must have been registered before you may order. If you are a student at another university and live in the region of Dalarna, you can order an interlibrary loan free of charge within the Nordic countries. Members of the general public and students living outside the region of Dalarna should enquire at their nearest library instead.
What cannot be ordered as an interlibrary loan?
Search the library catalogue at first, as literature that we have at the library cannot be ordered as an interlibrary loan. In addition, you are usually not able to borrow course and reference literature, journals and electronic materials from other libraries.
How long does an interlibrary loan take?
On average it takes 3-7 days. You will receive an e-mail when your book or article has arrived at the library.
