More Applicants Than Last Year, Despite Fewer Programmes

There were over 300 more applications to this autumn's programmes at Dalarna University compared with last year. This is in spite of cuts to the number of programmes and courses due to less state funding.
The total number of applications to this autumn's courses and programmes by April 16, the deadline for applications, was 34 910 this year compared with 34 734 last year. The most popular choice of education was the nursing programme; however, even the Social Work programme has higher numbers. The new master's programme in Economics received 60 first-choice applications.
