"Be a Climate Researcher and Make a Difference"

15 Dec 2011 15:20
Åsa RomsonOn Wednesday, Åsa Romson visited Dalarna University to talk about the Miljöpartiet's work and to discuss environmental issues. She had come directly from the climate conference in Durban.

"Just imagine if we could have representatives from the whole world who could exhibit their successful projects in environmental improvements and in so doing share them with others," she said.

Speaking about what is happening nationally, she expressed her frustration with the government's stance on environmental political issues and the individual trend in society.

"Of course you have to think about your own happiness so long as we don't create a picture where we don't need each other. We  need each other's strength, energy and ideas to move forwards."

In the discussion that followed, the question arose about how to get the USA to work more with environmental issues.

"Become a climate researcher and make a difference with your results," responded Åsa Romson, who followed her visit to the university with a visit to Ludvika.
