The combustion laboratory

We have equipment for studies of small bio-fuel systems up to 25 kW. We measure emissions (NO, CO, Particles and hydrocarbons), temperature and flow which means that we can prepare detailed energy balances. Our speciality is to investigate how the emissions vary during different operation conditions and from such data calculate the annual emissions from a system.

We can also make measurements of systems with both solar heating and bio-fuel. Measurement of other types of components are also carried out in connection with the lab, for example for pellets handling and DHW consumption.
