His own research has mainly been on stationary concentrators for solar energy applications. He teaches thermodynamics, energy technology and passive solar energy. Annette Henning

Annette Henning is Associate Professor in Social Anthropology at the Solar Energy Research Center SERC. A main part of her research has been devoted to processes of decision making, change and reproduction related to energy efficiency projects and attempts to convert to renewable energies. Culture specific meanings of energy technologies have been in focus, particularly solar heating systems in the built environment. ahe@du.se

Klaus Lorenz

Licentiate of Technology, research engineer. His research is partly on heating systems using solar heating and pellets and partly on the development of new product concepts in co-operation with industry. His licentiate thesis was on solar combisystems. Evaluation of possible heating system improvements. klo@du.se

Frank Fiedler

PhD in Technology, MSc in Solar Engineering, Dipl. Ing. Mechanical Engineering. Program manager fo the One-Year master Program in Solar Energy Engineering. Specialist in system simulations  and development of solar and pellets heating systems. Research in small scale power generation with photovoltaic- and wind energy systems. ffi@du.se

Kent Börjesson

Engineer, technician. Takes part in different R&D projects within solar heating and solar electricity regarding measurement and data collection. In charge of the thermal labiratory, the combustion laboratory, the test rig for solar collectors and also measurements in the field.

Chris Bales

PhD in building services engineering and senior lecturer in Energy and Environmenta Techn. His doctoral thesis, presented in June 2004, was on "Combitest - a new test method for thermal stores used in solar combisystems". Bengt Perers

PhD in Material Optics. R&D specialisation: Solar energy systems for heating and electricity. He develops ideas for new products and evaluation techniques. His doctoral thesis dealt with the dynamic simulation/modelling of solar collectors and solar heating systems including externa reflectors. He is the creator of a new European dynamic test standard and simulation model for solar collectors.  bpr@du.se

Tara Kandpal

PhD and professor in solar energy at the Center for Energy Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. His main interests are on solar heating, techno-economical aspects including energy for rural areas. Karin Perman

Ph D Political Science. Perman defended her thesis From electricity to heat. A discourse-analytical policy study of energy conversion at national, municipal and household levels in 2008. Her research focus is energy efficiency, energy policy and stakeholders, governance. She teaches Political Science at Dalarna university. kpm@du.se

PhD in building services engineering and lecturer in Energy Technology. His doctoral thesis was on "Gas-filled flat plate solar collectors". His research focuses on further development of solar collectors and systems based on solar energy and bio fuel.jve@du.se 

Kaung Myat Win

PhD student in solar and biomass heating. Working in the project SWX-Energi, Integrerade system för sol och biobränsle. The studies includes emission measurements of CO, Hydrocarbons and particles in order to create emission models. The models shall give better predictions of annual emissions from pellet boilers. kmw@du.se

Johan Heier

PhD student in the project Thermal storage in buildings. MSc in Chemical Engineering focusing on energy and environmental technology with one year experience as a research assistant, mainly focusing on solar and pellet combisystems for single family houses. Current research focuses on mapping possibilities for thermal energy storage in buildings as a means for improving energy efficiency in the Swedish building stock. jhe@du.se 

Philipp Weiss

Ph.D student in energy efficiency. M.Sc. in Environmental and Aquatic Engineering with two years experience from a large utility. His research focuses on possible pathways towards a 50 percent reduction in energy use in the buildings sector in the county of Dalarna from a technical, social, economic and environmental perspective. pwe@du.se

 

 

Muhammad Ali Joudi

PhD student in energy systems.He studies the effect of optical properties of coil-coated steel sheet as building cladding with respect to energy demand for cooling and heating.  His work is a part of the project  Rullbelagt stål som ytbeklädnad på energieffektiva byggnader. maj@du.se

Daniel Hägerby

MSc and part of the EMC project aimed at local business. He handles marketing, performs consultation and writes prestudies for partners within the project. dhg@du.se

Caroline Nielsen

PhD student in PV system technology. MSc in Engineering Physics. Working in the project “Mini-grids supplied by renewable energy - improving technical and social feasibility”. The PhD project includes the development of design and monitoring methods for PV Hybrid systems and studies of social aspects with the introduction of small scale electricity supply systems in developing countries.

Anders Angantyr

PhD in computer aided design. He has worked eight years in power generation and is currently on leave from Alstom Power to work in the energy and environmental competence center, EMC. He provides consultation and carries out feasibility studies for regional companies in the project, EMC. aag@du.se

Jon Persson

BSc. in Engineering Physics and MSc in Energy Science and Technology. I currently work within the EMC project on small-scale solar electricity systems, and contribute the training on fuel cells and batteries.
