Further developing of flat plate solar collectors

This is an industrial doctoral project in co-operation between Dalarna University, Solentek AB, and Chalmers Technical University. Flat plate collectors are aesthetical in that way they can often be mounted discreetically. Their efficiency can also be further increased, there are several interesting technics with potential to improve the energy balance. The purpose of this project is to get knowledge for improving the flate plate collectors. This knowledge will then be used for initiating large scale production of improved solar collectors. The goal is that the new solar collectors will get lower energy cost compared to existing solar collectors. They should have higher energy gain with the same, or slightly increased, complexity and the same expected life time as the solar collectors have today.
