Solar heating systems with high level of covering

The third research programme concerns systems that cover a greater of the building’s (or other load) energy use, cooling as well as heating. The work is carried out in international collaboration with a number of European research groups and companies. SERC is subtask leader for chemical and sorption storage within IEA-SHC Task 32, where the focus is on seasonal storage of solar heat. Work is also focussed on heat driven cooling processes that can be used with solar collectors for cooling in the summer and as heat pumps in the winter.
