PV systems and small scale electricity generation

Under this theme we work with a variety of technologies for smal scale electricity generation such as photovoltaics, wind power, hydropower and a wide range of cogneration technologies (TPV, PV/T, thermoelectric conversion, cogneration with internal combustion engines and stirling).

Our research activities are covering insitu and lab measurements on components and systems, component development and system simulations. An important part of our research in this area is performed by our Master student in the form of Master thesis projects. Currently, we work very intensive on the design and performance evaluation of PV-Wind hybrid stand-alone systems.
