International Perspectives
We live in an ever more globalised society. Through its programmes, courses and research, Dalarna University promotes an international perspective that serves to benefit both the university itself as well as the region in general. Characterising an international perspective are openness and diversity, both of which are fundamental at all levels of the university organisation.
The wide global network that Dalarna University maintains is evidence of how important the university regards the concept of internationalisation. This network allows for international collaboration for our students and employees, and provides a means to increasing international mobility. Experiences and impressions that those who spend time abroad bring back with them, alongside the visits from guest professors and our international students, contribute to an increased international perspective at every level of Dalarna University.
Studies Abroad
International experience is undoubtedly viewed favourably by prospective employers. At Dalarna University, there are many opportunities for students to study in another country.
Teacher Exchanges
Teacher exchanges afford our teachers the opportunity to work for a period at a foreign university at the same as they provide teachers from foreign institutes of higher education the opportunity to teach here at Dalarna University. Such exchanges increase internationalisation at the local level and serve to benefit both those teachers who themselves do not have the opportunity to study or work in another country as well as our students.
We have approximately 150 active international exchange agreements and participate in several scholarship programmes: Erasmus, Nordplus, Linnaeus-Palme among others.
