European Tourism Management, 90 högskolepoäng
The broad aims of the European Tourism Management programme are to develop tourism managers who can operate effectively in international or cross-cultural business environments. The programme is designed to enable students to define, investigate, analyse, evaluate and respond to tactical and strategic issues of concern to tourism and hospitality in a variety of practical contexts within European Tourism.
A unique future of ETM is partnership
The European Tourism Management programme is part of a framework of Master´s in Tourism programmes at Bournemouth University. The unique feature of ETM is that it is taught by a partnership of six leading European Tourism Universities allowing you to gain experience from the educational, business and social cultures of two European countries. The aims and objectives of all the courses are to develop the knowledge and skills required for the management of the economic, social and environmental processes in the tourism industry. Regardless of the country you choose to study in the courses are the same.
The programme is divided into three stages
- Stage 1 consists of a theoretically oriented one-term course, taught in English at Bournemouth University (GB), NHTV Breda, University of Applied Sciences (NL) and Högskolan Dalarna (SE).

- Stage 2 consists of a term during which an applied case study is elaborated by the students, conducted in French at the Université de Savoie, in German at Hochschule Heilbronn or Spanish at Universidad REY Juan Carlos in Madrid.

- Stage 3 The completion of stage 1 and 2 gives access to the preparation of an individual master thesis to be examined by an international faculty. The thesis shall be completed during the summer and the final graduation occur in the autumn at Bournemouth University. The degree awarded is a Masters of Arts
