Representatives from Educational Institutes in Finland and Estonia Visit Dalarna University

They were here to discuss future work within the network TURID.

Senior Lecturer Teija Tekoniemi-Selkälä (Finland) and Senior Lecturer Riia Nelis (Estonia) were given the opportunity to meet students from Dalarna University's three-year bachelor programme in International Tourism Management, of which Albina Pashkevich is director, to inform them about exchange opportunities and the latest developments in the field of tourism in the two countries.

The interdisciplinary network TURID comprises eight institutes of higher education from within Scandinavia and the Baltic countries that have programmes in tourism, sport, health promotion and gastronomy.

TURID offers a three-year project to exchange and share experiences between the institutes and their collaborative partners from business and industry.

TURID was established in 1998 and includes Lapland University of Applied Sciences / Multidimensional Tourism Institute; Yrkeshögskolan Arcada and Yrkeshögskolan Novia (Finland); Hedmark University College (Norway); Högskolan Dalarna (Sweden), Tallinn University of Technology Kuressaare College (Estonia), Turiba University of Applied Sciences and Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (Latvia). Högskolan Dalarna joined in 2015.
