3D Printer Now Operational

Dalarna University Gets Its First 3D Printer

The equipment will be used in current courses that are taught in the engineering programmes as well as in the collaborative work conducted with regional high schools.

"Students will be able to access the equipment in the different projects that they are involved in and it will also be used in industrial projects in which students from a number of courses work directly with industry. A further area of use is when there come assignments from industry that can mean the University taking the role of collaborative partner in the production of prototypes, development of concepts, calculations and large CAD models," explains Faculty Head Patrick Kenger, Dalarna University.
