Technology Teacher of the Year Is Pasi Juujärvi

Nominated by a committee in consultation with students, Pasi Juujärvi stood out due to his ability and will to listen to students and to put them first in his teaching.

Each  year, the School of Technology and Business Studies selects a handful of candidates whose names are put forward for nomination for the title Technology Teacher of the Year.

"I am greatly honoured," stated Pasi Juujärvi. "Such a nomination is energizing and makes me want to continue in my work, especially when it is the students themselves who are involved in the nomination. To be appreciated by one's students is the best grade a teacher can achieve."

Patrick Kenger, Faculty Head of Mechanical Engineering, stated, "Pasi Juujärvi is a teacher who is appreciated by both students and colleagues here at the University. He is also much appreciated by upper-secondary schools where he engages and motivates pupils and teachers alike through his lectures and labs."

The award is presented at an annual meeting for the Falun-Borlänge Engineering Club.
