During the congress, Mari-Cristin Malm presented a study on two different means of measuring foetus movement in late pregnancy, while Fatumo Osman presented her study on culturally adapted parental support. Fatumo and Kerstin Erlandsson also presented an evaluation of a programme of study for teachers and managers in Somalia that ended 2015 as well as research related to the programme.
Kerstin Erlandsson also formed part of an expert panel on the final day of the congress that discussed how qualitative care for women and children, in accordance with a well-known article series in the journal "The Lancet" (2014), is implemented in instruction in the midwifery programme. The panel also discussed how the recommendations in the article series can be implemented in the online master's programme in Sexual, Reproductive and Perinatal Health. Sixty midwifery teachers at 25 institutes of higher education in Bangladesh are currently registered in the online programme offered by Dalarna University.
During the congress, the delegation from Dalarna University established important contacts for the University's national and international education and research profiles.
